Overview :

The PIE program :
The two-part Partners in Education classroom presentation takes students through the steps needed to prepare for life after high school.
The presentation covers students’ different options after high school and helps them prepare for college or work.

 PIE  (Partners In Education Program)
  This dynamic and interactive classroom presentation takes students through the steps needed to prepare for life after high school.
 
 *Grade Level : Junior/Senior
 *Lesson Length: Two 45-minute sessions
 
Learning Objectives:
 
  Know the various options available after
 high school.
 
  Use a variety of resources to research colleges
 and methods of financing their education.
  Create a budget.
  Choose a college or technical school that
 fits their career goals.
  Prepare for standardized college
 entry examinations.
  Develop a resume.
  Complete college applications. 
 
Part 1:  What am I doing after high school? Covers a student’s options after high school, the benefits of going to college, college costs, and how to pay for college.
 
 Part 2:  How do I get ready for life after high school? Covers selecting a college, planning and preparing for college, and applying for college or a job.

  One copy of the Guide to Paying for Your College Education for each student.
Copies of handouts and evaluation
